Meet Naila Saeed

Candidate for Mississauga, Ward 7

My name is Naila Saeed, and I am proud to stand as a candidate for Mississauga City Council in Ward 7. For more than two decades, I have dedicated my life to building stronger communities, supporting families, creating opportunities for children, and advocating for residents from all walks of life. My journey is rooted in service, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others succeed.

As an immigrant and working mother, I understand the challenges many families face, finding affordable childcare, accessing community services, navigating government systems, and building a better future for the next generation. Through hard work and determination, I transformed those challenges into opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

I began my career as a home daycare provider, and driven by the belief that every child deserves high-quality care, I founded EYES Childcare, which has since grown to more than 30 locations across Ontario, supporting thousands of families and creating hundreds of local jobs. My experience as an entrepreneur has given me a practical understanding of budgeting, collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering results.

Beyond business, I have spent years volunteering, mentoring youth, supporting newcomers, and advocating for seniors alongside community organizations. My commitment to public service also led me to stand as a candidate at the federal and provincial levels, championing affordability, childcare, housing, public safety, and small-business growth.

I am not running to begin serving our community. I am running because community service has been my life’s work.

Family first, the value at the heart of everything Naila does
Rooted in family & community

An immigrant, a mother, a grandmother, and a builder

Naila’s story is a family story. As a mother of three daughters and a grandmother, she knows first-hand what families need to thrive, safe streets, good schools, reliable childcare, and a community that looks out for one another.

Those same values shaped a career of service: welcoming newcomers, mentoring young people, and standing alongside seniors. It is why she is trusted across so many of Mississauga’s communities.
